From Pastor Skip Gillikin:

Dear Friend,

Thank you for visiting our website. I invite you to explore at your pleasure. I hope within minutes you will discover our focus is the glory of God.

We often end our worship service with these words from Ephesians 3:20-21: “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever. Amen.” These words remind us that God has created us to live with a wonderful purpose – to live for Him as He has designed. As we do so, we will see God work in ways that will amaze.

As pastor, I have the joy of worshipping with God’s people and then opening up His Word each Lord’s Day. We are committed to the eternal truth of the Bible and by His grace we desire to live according to the teaching of it. In a world where there are lots of questions and doubts, we gather often to explore God’s truth and encourage one another.

Though this site tries to answer many questions, you probably have more. Please feel free to email me at bigskip@fpcweaverville.com or call me at the church (828) 645-7344. I would love to buy you a cup of coffee and answer your questions and get to know you.

I invite you to join us in worship on Sunday mornings and see the church loving God and each other.

In God’s grace,

Skip Gillikin, Pastor
