Elaine Guthrie Brewer / Church Secretary & Bookkeeper

I was born and raised in Barnardsville, NC, where I still live.  I graduated from North Buncombe High School in 1990 then went on to Gardner-Webb College and that’s where I met by sweet husband, Sean.  Sean is from Winston Salem, NC but he loves these mountains.  Sean and I have no children, but our dogs; Corkie, Dakota and Dan are enough to keep us busy.  My parents are Roy and June Guthrie of Barnardsville, and I have three sisters and one brother (plus a lot of extended family).  I love my close family, and I count them a blessing from the Lord.

I have been the church secretary/bookkeeper here since September 19, 1997.  I have the best job in the world.  The folks here at Weaverville Presbyterian are just wonderful to me and I count it a privilege to work here everyday.
